Southern Counties German Shepherd Rescue
By partnering with local re-homing organisations, pets at home aims to raise awareness of the number of pets which are looking for a new home. They strongly promote the message 'Re-home a pet - and give a second chance of happiness'. Pets at home has its own Charity 'Support Adoption For Pets' which supports organisations like Southern Counties German Shepherd Rescue with grants. ;) | Supporting stores Christchurch and Winchester Southern counties German Shepherd Rescue is supported by pets at home. We are the sponsored organisation for both the Christchurch and Winchester branches of pets at home. We have donation tubs at both branches in which many people leave donations of food, dog toys, bedding or other gifts. We hold regular fundraising days at these stores and are very grateful for the support provided by the stores, the staff, and their customers. |
;) | Kennel donation In addition to the stores supporting us, in 2009 pets at home donated the money for a much needed kennel to allow us to work with dogs with problems in a safe environment. The kennel has been very well used, and has allowed us to help an number of difficult dogs over the last year. |
;) | Mascot dog costume In 2010, pets at home provided funds towards our person size mascot costume that will help us on our fundraising events. |
;) | 10% off discount vouchers All the dogs we rehome come with a 10% off discount voucher for pets at home. This can be redeemed in any pets at home store, and helps with buying all the things you need for your rescue dog, - collars, bowls, beds, leads, toys and food. |
